I've been learning how to use JD's backup camera, his Nikon D200, and I was really in the mood to do something creative this morning. Thankfully, it didn't take much to convince my talented other half to lend a hand. I had alot of fun learning through trial and error and with JD giving me pointers. He did all the post processing (I haven't even begun to tackle that side of things).
It was a terrific day with the four of us just hanging out around the house. I've never been too keen Valentine's Day, but it's kind of nice to be reminded to slow down and just enjoy those you L*O*V*E!
:: Strawberry Almond Cupcakes! I'm a big fan of anything with ganache and these did not disappoint. Adapted from this recipe for Raspberry ones.
:: Brightly colored jelly beans and chocolate caramel hearts from David & Connie. Thanks for all the goodies guys!
:: Jim's Granny made the kids the cutest play cupcakes, donuts, pizza slices, and Oreo cookies for their play kitchen. Aren't those cupcakes great?
:: Addie's Valentines day present from us - new rain/mud/deck/dress-up-around-the-house boots!.
:: Super cute bowl, plate and silverware my parents picked up from Pottery Barn Kids. They also brought up these placemats and plates. Addie loves them; now she offers to set the table!
:: I Love You card from Etsy seller Two Trick Pony.
