We're big on nicknames around here. We even use them for our kiddos during my pregnancies since we don't share their real names until they are born. Saying "Baby McCulley" or even "the Baby" gets old fast so we usually use a generic name to refer to the baby until around 20 weeks when we find out the gender. Then we brainstorm cute nickname options and go with what sticks. In the womb, Addison was known as Buttercup and Ayden was Bam Bam.
This time around A&A got involved early on. Ayden and JD called the baby "Ralph" before we knew she was a girl. Not sure where that one came from. And Addie, wanting to maintain a sense of fairness, referred to the baby as "Himorher" as in Him or Her. Clever, eh? Well, now that we know Baby McCulley is indeed a her, we've decide to give the little gal a proper nickname. From here on out she will be affectionately known as Sweet Pea!
And thanks to our friend Missy (and Amos Lee), Sweet Pea also has her own song!
