I love that Addie likes to be my little helper in the kitchen. She usually says, "I want to mix with you mom!" when she sees me start pulling ingredients from the pantry. (Of course, it comes out sounding like "mix wit chew." Gotta love toddler talk!) Armed with a spoon or whisk, she gets a little wild at times, but I think she's off to a pretty good start.

This week we decided to try decorating some sugar cookies with Glacé Icing. I've never really messed with icing before so I learned a few things along the way, but I think we did pretty good considering. If I would have used artificial vanilla extract instead of pure I think my white icing probably would been much whiter. Oh well, we certainly had fun and that's what matters, right? Thankfully after all that work they were really tasty too.
