Teaching, training, corralling, and disciplining kiddos can be hard work and is certainly stressful at times so I'm always grateful for those instances when God sees fit to give me glimpse of what is going on in the hearts of my children. Those precious peeks can be extremely encouraging.
Recently I was blessed to see Addie apply one of her memory verses to everyday life. After AJ got in trouble for something or another she sweetly asked me if she could pray for him. So the three of us held hands and bowed our heads together. On her own accord, Addie said, "Dear God, please help Ayden obey his parents in the Lord. Amen." What an encouragement to my heart to see my 4 year old going before the Lord on behalf of her brother and using His Word {Ephesians 6:1} to communicate her brother's needs! Never mind, that shortly thereafter she threw a tantrum about something petty. A mom's work is never done, right?!

I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
