As I pondered how we should welcome the new year, I decided that first and foremost, we needed to start off the morning of Jan 1st with these Maple Pecan Scones. I tagged the recipe in The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook a while back and have been itching to whip some up. I love light, soft scones that have just the right touch of sweetness. Plus, pecans married with maple icing...what's not to love?
