Time to sit back and unwind. Yes, I'm flashing back to the early 90s! I asked Jim what I should title this post...something to do with summer I said...and we both started singing the same tune: "Summer, summer, summertime..." Come on, surely you remember the Fresh Prince!

Anyways, I wanted to put up some of Jim's recent pics of Addie enjoying the summer sun and heat. She loves to play outside in the grass, hollering at neighborhood kids riding by on their bikes, waving to all the cars passing by, and dodging the water hose that Jim often has aimed at her.

Our deck may be our best used space during the summer months. Coloring on the deck, "painting" the wood with water (great idea Suz), and hosting her own outdoor tea parties are a few of Addie's favorite things to do.

A few nights ago we headed north to a berry farm for an evening of strawberry picking. It's something we look forward to doing each summer with our friends, the Karys. Addie could hardly contain herself. She quickly picked up on the concept of eating one strawberry for every two you pick Needless to say, I eventually had to put an end to her strawberry feast and give her little, red, sticky fingers a good scrub. Good times! Since we're all stocked up on jam, we used our bucket of berries to make strawberry bread and strawberry banana muffins. Pretty good deal.
