A teacher that has greatly influenced our Christian walks has taught us that the key to life is "thinking God's thoughts after Him." In doing so, we are constantly learning to trust God's word as the final authority on every matter in our lives over and against what the world is telling us at every turn. As you would likely agree, this is not any easy endeavor but definitely one worth tackling. The teacher I mentioned above is named Charlie Clough. He developed a study called the Bible Framework that has challenged us to think this way. It is a study that has changed our lives, the lives of many of our close friends, and a study that we have enjoyed teaching to others numerous times over the years. Interestingly enough, Charlie is the person who introduced us to GoodSeed.
Anyways, Jim was recently asked to teach a weekly study to a group of college age and older adults. We are always eager to teach the content from Charlie's study knowing how valuable it is to help one learn how to think Biblically. Our good friend Jeremy Thomas, a pastor at Fredericksburg Bible Church down in Texas, is also teaching this study so it really gave Jim a jumpstart.
The study is called Final Authority - My World Through His Eyes. To put it simple, we are studying through the 22 major doctrines of the Bible in effort to develop a Biblical Framework for viewing the world. If you want to check it out, here is a link to the study blog that Jim created to be used by those attending as well as those studying with us online: www.myfinalauthority.com. Now if you are trying to find us on a Tuesday night, you'll know what we are doing!
