As I was wondering today where everyone is, what they are doing, and how they look 10 years later, I then starting thinking about myself. Am I where I expected to be? In short no, I never expected to be living in Canada! But with the bigger picture in mind, I must say I am more than pleased with the course my life has taken. I planned to get a University degree and then go on to get a professional degree of some sort. I was in fact an honor graduate from Texas Tech University, but I had no desire to continue on. I thought I would get married somewhere around 25... I actually got married at age 21 and will be celebrating my 7th anniversary this December. I married the perfect man for me and just adore him. I wanted to be married for 5 years before I had kids - you know, to just have time with my husband. Jim and I were married for 5 years before we had Addison. Now I am a full time mom, and I love every day of it! Just for the record, we started out with plants, then got a dog, and since those endeavors went well (i.e. they all stayed alive) we decided we were ready for kiddos So, here I am in my upper 20s. I still feel young. I finally look old enough to be in my 20s instead of forever fifteen or something. And I know exactly what is important in life. I define myself by who I am in Christ, and I am blessed with a fantastic family and wonderful friends. For this first decade after high school, I can say I definitely like what time has told me. What will I say 10 years from now? I guess time will tell... |

This past weekend was my 10 year high school reunion. This is the only month from May thru October that Jim and/or I don’t have any travel plans so I decided not to make the trip to attend. Plus, I hope to see many of my friends at Cari’s wedding in July.
