Last week Jim found out that he won two web awards for the GoodSeed website. He was quite surprised and quick to express that if any of his sites were ever to get recognition he would have wanted it to be this one. As most of you know GoodSeed is an equipping ministry (Eph 4:12). We equip believers with tools and training for evangelism and discipleship.
The W3 Awards are sanctioned by the International Academy of Visual Arts. They honor creative excellence on the web, and recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programs. The GoodSeed site won 2008 Silver Awards for Web Design in the categories of Charitable Organizations and Religion & Spirituality.
While it's certainly flattering to be recognized by top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms (that's verbiage I found on their website while trying to learn more about the awards), we know our real goal is to one day hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant" from the One who really counts. Therefore we will continue to seek to "do our work heartily, as for the Lord, rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord we will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom we serve." (Col. 3:23, 24)
Our prayer for the GoodSeed website is that it will continue to be a tool that brings glory to the Lord. That it will equip believers to share the truth of the Bible in a clear and understandable way. That those that hear the Bible's message will choose to put their faith in Christ and have their lives changed for eternity.
Thank you to our fellow co-workers who submitted Jim's work without him even knowing! And most importantly, we are so grateful and thankful for all those who have partnered with us in our ministry, both prayerfully and financially, at any time over the past 5 years.
